


Lyric Mezzo-Soprano Teresa Marie Lewis has sung on stages in the United States, Germany, and Austria. She studied at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Sheila K. Converse, and a Bachelor of Arts in German. During her undergraduate years she studied for one year at the University of Salzburg and the Mozart Academy of Music (Mozarteum) in Salzburg, Austria. Teresa pursued her graduate studies at the University of Washington, where she received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance under the guidance of Thomas Harper, and a Master of Arts in Music History.
Upon completion of her academic studies, she moved to Germany to audition for opera companies and received a position at the Landestheater in Coburg, Germany, as a first alto in the opera chorus. During her tenure in Coburg, she also returned to the United States to participate in the Tacoma Opera Young Artist Program. After two seasons with the Landestheater, she had performed over 200 performances in 12 separate productions, including four solo roles in addition to her chorus duties. Teresa also returned to the United States in 2008 and has since become involved with Puget Sound Concert Opera, the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle, the Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and various local church and community organizations.
